Leona is originally from Nanaimo, British Columbia.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria in 1991, majoring in Pacific and Asian Studies, with an emphasis on the Japanese language.  She then earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia in 1994 and has been practicing in the field of civil litigation ever since, both in Vancouver, and more recently in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Maritime Practice


In the past few years, Leona's practice has expanded to include maritime law claims, primarily for maritime insurers.  Her cases have included subrogated insurance claims and insurance coverage opinions. 

 Leona speaks French and has a working knowledge of Japanese.


Personal Injury Practice

Leona acts for clients involved in serious motor vehicle and other other accidents.  She focuses on cases in which significant personal injuries have been sustained.  She acts for injured people, not for ICBC.
